Yes. If your check engine light comes on, you cannot just take your Mercedes Benz to any shop. Most shops only have one kind of diagnostic machine for all types of vehicle. At Silver Star Auto Haus, we have diagnostic machines and scan tools that are specific to Mercedes Benz, Sprinters, and Smart vehicles. These machines allow us to accurately diagnose issues with your Mercedes Benz so that we can give you an estimate for the needed repairs.   Accurate diagnosis of your vehicle’s concerns is important for us to give correct estimates for lasting repairs. A lot of time and resources are often required to provide a diagnosis, including technically trained technicians and equipment. Aside from the labor expense of trained technicians, the equipment and data access is costly. We want to ensure we are well-staffed, trained, and honest, which is why we bill our time accurately and fairly.  

Yes, we offer pre-purchase inspections. We recommend scheduling an appointment, and the cost is $150 for a Mercedes Benz and $165 for Sprinter Vans. We will email and text you a copy of the digital inspection, as well as an estimate for any recommended work/repairs. 

We accept cash, checks, debit cards, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay. We also accept all major credit cards - Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express. If you choose to pay with a credit card, a 3.5% convenience fee will be added to your total for credit card processing.  We also accept payment via PayPal. 

Please contact us at 505-881-4855 to inquire about  possible insurance claim work (we do not do any kind of body work/repairs) or extended warranties we accept. We will work with some extended warranties on a case-by-case basis. NOTE - we no longer work with Silver Rock Warranty (Carvana Care).
